About Us:
Inglewood Coffee Roasters is a Melbourne based specialty coffee roastery responsible for the supply of over 300 cafes around Austrlaia, including some of Melbourne's most iconic venues. Inglewood is one of the fastest growing roasteries in Melbourne, expanding into new markets and areas of the coffee industry, opening new doors and oportunities for staff.
Our roastery in Mount Waverley includes our showcase cafe which is located at the front of the property in a fully fitted out shipping container. The container cafe uses multiple blends and different coffees, aiming to showcase our range of delicious, seasonal coffees. It also aims to engage with our local community, offering an amazing friendly experience for our regular customers.
Inglewood also operates an events businenss where we deliver a professional, fast and high quality coffee experience from a fully fitted coffee cart at private events all over Melbourne. From birthday parites to wedding recoveries, to the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Inglewood events caters for all opportunities.
Job Description:
We are looking for a barista to join our team at the roastery to contribute to a variety of roles. The two primary roles being a barista in our Container Espresso Bar and a barista within our events team.
Operating the Inglewood Espresso Bar includes the following responsibilities;
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, along with other beverages and food items
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, seating areas, and equipment
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming and personalized experience
- Educate customers about different coffee beans, brewing methods, and our menu offerings
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and ordering supplies
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and efficient work environment
Working within the Event's team includes the following responsibilites;
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, as well as other beverages, in a fast-paced environment
- Set up and pack down coffee stations at event locations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, engaging with guests and answering any questions about our offerings
- Collaborate with event coordinators and other staff to ensure smooth event operations
- Handle cash transactions and use point-of-sale systems, if applicable
- Uphold company standards for quality, presentation, and service
- Driving a van transporting equipment and stock to and from events
The successful applicant will poses the following qualities and certifications
- Previous experience as a barista
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Flexible schedule, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed
- A valid Australian drivers licence
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 15kgs
- Posess the desire to learn and grow with the company.
